2025 Past President’s Book Prize
The Association for Borderland Studies runs an annual book prize in most years. The prize is awarded to an outstanding book related to border studies and the winner is announced at the Business Meeting of the ABS annual conference held in Spring. To be eligible for the award, the book must have been reviewed in the Journal of Borderland Studies in the previous calendar year. From this pool of books, the immediate past-President of the Association heads an advisory committee to review and determine the award.
In recognition of the award, the author will be granted life membership of the ABS and their success will be noted in the Association’s magazine La Frontera.
For publishers and authors who wish to submit their books for review in the Journal of Borderlands Studies, please contact the book review editors, Andréanne Bissonnette (bissona2@wwu.edu) and Paul Fryer (paul.fryer@uef.fi).
